PAX West 2025 Streaming Zone Sponsorship Wrap-up!

Already a month gone by and I am finally able to put pen to paper to talk about our experience sponsoring the LANFest Charity Stream Zone!

What is the Charity Stream Zone? It's a place streamers of any size can come and stream for a few hours to raise money for a good cause. Every dime they received in support went to the destination of their choice.

Together we raised over $12,000 USD for charity!

This is a perfect opportunity to talk about how our ideal "brand building" takes place. Our objective is to (obviously) sell hardware, but ideally to do so in a way that is beneficial to the gaming community as a whole.

Let's break down why we chose to attend and support this event.

  1. As the mic sponsor of the event our sponsorship fee went directly to LANFest, a 501(c)3 non-profit focused on bringing LAN events to gamers all over the US and beyond.
  2. The streamers were raising money for charity, many of which were game-focused charities like Child's Play and Able Gamers.
  3. We got to put our product in the hands of 58 different streamers (and met many other fans and streamers at the event).
  4. We donated the hardware used to LANFest to be used at other events!

I couldn't imagine a more perfect storm of mixing our brand with our goals!

We also got to test the ModMic Wireless in an extraordinarily busy and often loud setting and let me tell you, we passed with flying colors. I won't name any names, but other major hardware manufacturers' wireless product had severe issues at the show due to the amount of wireless noise in the convention center. Not the ModMic though, it performed perfectly. No signal drops, no pairing issues, no issues picking up the audio we wanted, and with the rare exception of PA announcements from the tournament area nearby, no picking up audio we didn't want.

In short, it was an absolute delight! Here's a few highlights:

It's a picture of me, taking a picture! Why is my foot like that? Practicing ballet perhaps? This was the full setup of the area, 4 streaming stations, 1 tabletop station (hard to see way in the back) and off-camera to the right a station to rent streaming backpacks!

A closeup of streamer Smirky and, of course, a ModMic Wireless! He and I met up coincidentally at a party and ended up seated at the same table. We had an awesome time.

Streamer and cosplayer xLilChaosx, who was such a joy to have at the booth. She was kind, polite, and super fun!

Streamer Gregor2424, who was nailing some sweet Marvel Snap plays. But mostly I just love this picture.

And last but not least, me (again) holding court back stage with various members of the press. The LANFest crew were kind enough to let me use the greenroom area for some meetings. We talked about super secret stuff, which I hope to talk about here soon! Might I suggest SUBSCRIBING TO THE NEWSLETTER? :)

All in all a huge success! Big thanks to LANFest, all of the streamers, everyone I met at the show (You know who you are), and every fan who stopped by to tell me their ModMic stories. I love you all!
