For the first time ever we'll be accepting pre-orders for the ModMic USB 2 and ModMic Uni 2.
Pre-Order Information
We expect official launch to happen in mid-August, and while we do our best not to sell out at launch, pre-ordering is your best way to guarantee inventory will be available for you. It also helps us plan for the next production run!
You can cancel anytime before shipment and of course all of our products new and old have a 30 day return policy and 2-year warranty.
Please be aware cards are charged in advance. Pre-order units may be filled and delivered before actual launch, depending on your location!
What is a ModMic?
In case this is your first time looking into our products the answer is simple: A microphone that can attach to any pair of headphones, VR visor, or relatively flat surface. This allows you to turn headphones into a custom headset of your own making, but there's no shortage of other ways people have used them in the past!

Say Goodbye to Dual-mic Modes!
This may sound like a bad thing, but the dual mic modes introduced in the ModMic 5 (2017) was a solution to the problem of how do we get both quality mic signal and a noise-rejecting mic signal into a single package?
Today, we believe we've cracked the code. All ModMic 2s come with a single cardioid capsule that reaches the quality we expect and still provides passive noise rejection.
This is a massive upgrade to the ModMic Uni, which only had our single uni-directional capsule before and lacked the higher quality omni-directional mode to keep a lower price tag!

Redesigned Housing
The acoustic design of our housing has changed! This is to further support the quality improvements from a single mic capsule. Our new design should make the mic sound more crisp and clear without sacrificing too much bass. If anyone felt previous ModMics were a bit too "muddy" this update is for you!

ModMic USB 2 Now Includes a USB-C Adapter
The ModMic USB 2 remains USB-A terminated, but as the world moves more towards USB-C as the standard we wanted to make sure this ModMic would be ready for anything. No extra accessories required.

Improved Durability
With every generation of ModMic we strive to improve materials based on where and how the last generation performed and the ModMic 2 is no exception. We set our target firmly on the strain relief junctions with changes in materials, methods, and stiffness of the cable design in order to give the ModMic the maximum lifespan. We pledge to continue this effort on all production runs and future products.

Our 2-Year Warranty
Standard on every ModMic, we still back our products with a full two-year warranty against any manufacturing defect. Read more about our warranty policy.

Backwards Compatible
Our patented clasp system remains backwards compatible all the way back to the start. Still using a ModMic 4 base clasp from 2014? It will work with the new ModMic 2s!

Universally Compatible
Antlion Audio's goal is to make products that are as compatible with as many devices as possible. That's why we maintain a two-cable system, to ensure a ModMic can work with headphones that used fixed cables, removable cables, dual cables, or proprietary cables.

Price varies outside the US based on local taxes and exchange rates.
Expected Launch Date
We expect both products to launch in mid-August 2024. Pre-orders may go out slightly prior to the official launch date depending on timing and logistics. Talk about bragging rights.
MODMIC WIRELESS 2!? WHEN!?
We know many of you reading this were hoping and expecting an announcement about the ModMic Wireless 2 as well. Sadly, we have hit some unexpected difficulties with the ModMic Wireless 2 and it has delayed completion into 2025.
It breaks our hearts to not have all 3 ModMics launch at once, but it would break our hearts even more to release a product that wasn't ready. We'll have more news (hopefully) in 2025. In the meantime, here's an early peak at the box art, following our new mixed media sketch + photography design. We hope you like it!
